Joan A. (Genereux) Minton, 77, of Plaistow, NH died Sat., July 6th at Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill, surrounded by her family.
Joan was born and educated in Lowell, MA, the daughter of the late Marietta (Perigny) and Andrew Genereux. She was a cashier at Shaw’s Supermarket in Plaistow and Gilford, NH for many years. Joan was a member of Plaistow Fish and Game Ladies
Organization. She enjoyed bingo, camping, puzzles and crafts. Joan was a wonderful cook and she was happiest when spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Minton and her sister, Connie Edwards.
Joan is survived by her children, Cindy and husband Ken Higgins of Plaistow, NH, Kathleen Hill of Nashua, NH, Marlene and husband Frank Baggett of Lake Milton, OH, Richard Minton, IV and wife Tracie of Gardner, MA and Sheila and husband Kevin Fancy of Salem, NH; her sisters, Andrea Genereux and Georgette Aubrey and husband Roger, all of Pelham, NH; 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, July 9th from 4-8 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. The Funeral Mass will be Wednesday at 11AM at St. Patrick’s Church, Pelham, NH.
