Obituary

WARE: Hollis L. Chapman, 78, of Church Street died Monday, July 8 in his son Brian’s home after an illness.

His wife, Barbara A. (Carey) Chapman died in 2011. He leaves two sons Brian L. Chapman and his wife Stacey of Ashburnham and Steven J. Chapman and his wife Marilyn of Turners Falls, a daughter Kelly A. Kaminski of Grafton, three grandchildren Colton, Caitlin & Brendan and his beloved cat Isabelle.

Mr. Chapman was born in Washington, D.C., son of Hollis W. and Leona (Mason) Chapman. He was an envelope cutter at the Worcester Envelope Co. for over 30 years before retiring. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a long time Little League coach in Spencer. He loved to fish and enjoyed watching old movies. He and his wife enjoyed vacationing at Crystal Lake in Vermont.

A Graveside service will be held Friday, July 12 at 2:00 PM in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, July 10 from 5:00-7:00 PM in J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Health Alliance Home Health and Hospice, 25 Tucker Drive, Leominster, MA 01453.
