Victor G. Pesek, 85, of Wayland and Osterville died peacefully on Saturday, July 6, 2013 following a period of declining health.
He was born in Prague, Czechoslovakia on January 3, 1928 the son of the late George Pesek and Francisca (Kotlik) Pesek.
Victor was the beloved and devoted husband for 58 years of Dorothy G. (Fraser) Pesek of Wayland and Osterville. He was the loving father of Christina Glen and her husband David Glen and their children Michael and Caroline Glen all of Weston; Stephen Pesek and his wife Kelly Pesek and their children Tyler, Emily and Timothy Pesek all of Weston; Andrew Pesek and his wife Holly Edmunds and their children Sophie, Fraser and Lucy Pesek all of Cambridge and Victoria G. Pesek of Waitsfield, VT. Brother of Vera Raidl of Belmont and several nieces and nephews.
Victor has been a resident of Wayland for over 56 years. He received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from MIT and had a long and distinguished career as a Consulting Engineer before retiring. He was a lifetime member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. He was an avid skier and spent many winters at Waterville Valley. Victor was an accomplished tennis player and delighted in summering with his family in Osterville.
At the request of his family there will be no funeral home visitations.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Good Shepherd Parish at St. Zepherin Church, 99 Main St (Rte 27), Wayland.
Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family at North Cemetery in Wayland.
