In North Dighton, July 5, 2013, Antone L. Silvia age 89, passed away in his home, following a brief illness while surrounded by his loving family. Antone was the husband of the late Irene (Elmes) Silvia. He was born in Fall River, the son of the late Dinz & Maria (Gruila) Silvia. Antone has resided most of his life in the Taunton area. He served his country during WWII in the U. S. Army. Antone worked for several Taunton Silver Companies, including F.B. Rogers and Sheridan Silver Co. He was an avid sports fan, he cherished his time with family especially his grandchildren. Antone leaves his children Donna Cayton and her husband Edward of Taunton, Deborah Kostka and her husband John of North Dighton and Dianne Silvia of North Dighton. He also leaves his grandchildren Kellie Gouveia of Berkley, Edward Cayton III of Taunton, Timothy Cayton of Swansea and Michael Kostka of Taunton and eight great grandchildren. He also is survived by his siblings Mary Silvia, Norma Silvia, Olga Levesque, Arthur Silvia, Edward Silvia and the late Alice Lima. Funeral services and burial are private at the request of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home in Taunton, MA. Donations in Antone’s memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
