Obituary

Mrs. Georgette M. (Moore) Pennace, a resident of North Andover for more than 22 years and beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Pennace, Sr, died Monday, July 1, 2013. She was 87 years old.

Born in Lawrence, on March 1, 1926, Georgette was the beloved daughter of the late John B. Moore and Laura M. (Fournier) Moore. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Pennace worked as a Dental Assistant, for many years. In her younger years, she was a member of her brothers band and played the Bass Fiddle. Georgette loved to cook and was for several years, the cook at a children's day care center. Above all, Georgette was loved by everybody who knew her. She was always the life of the party, had an extraordinary sense of humor and never missed an opportunity to tell her jokes. She was a kind-hearted, generous woman, who always shared her wonderful food with those around her. No one ever left her home hungry.

She will be sadly missed by her loving children; John R. Pennace and his wife Margaret, of Paxton, Georgette Royer and her significant other Dr. James Murphy, both of Oakham and Joseph A. Pennace and his wife Susan of Andover. She leaves behind, a brother Rudolphe Moore and his wife Betty, of Salem, New Hampshire; a sister, Laura (Moore) Potter and her husband Phil Potter of Gilford, New Hampshire, and a sister-in-law Virginia Moore, wife of her late brother Roland of Newbury; She was also the devoted sister of the late Albert J. Moore along with his wife, Grace, who had predeceased him.

She'll be sadly missed by her grandchildren; Shawna, Alexander, Amanda, Jillian, Hope, Laura, Nathanial, Seth, Joseph and Zachary, and great-grandchildren; Max and Kelia; along with two step-great-grandsons and many nieces and nephews.

A Catholic Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Michael Church, 196 Main Street, North Andover, Saturday, July 6, 2013, at 10 Am. Many relatives and friends respectfully attended. Calling hours were held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover, Friday, July 5, 2013, from 4 to 8 PM. Interment was held in Bellevue Cemetery, Lawrence.
