Obituary

ANDERSON - Beverly Ann (Walsh) Bassemer, 83, went home to be with her Lord, June 29, 2013 at Collier Hospice Center in Wheat Ridge, Colorado following a brief illness. She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior on April 8, 1973, which assured her a home in heaven.

Beverly was born on May 25, 1930 in Elwood, Indiana, the daughter of Merle and Ruth (Brown) Walsh. She married Jack Langford Bassemer on April 28, 1947. God blessed them with 65 years of marriage. She was employed by General Motors in Anderson for 38 years. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church for over 40 years while being active in Keenagers and the Sew and Share ministry. She was also involved in the Red Hat Society and regularly donated to the Am Vets.

Beverly's burden and focus of her life for 40 years was to get children and adults to church to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ. She served the Lord faithfully as a Sunday School Teacher, Bus Captain, Deacon wife, nursery worker, door greeter, and Neighborhood Bible Time worker under the ministries of Dr. Don Camp, Brother Ron Halbert, and Dr. Leigh Crockett.

Survivors include 6 children: Michael Langford Bassemer of Alexandria, Deborah Ellen Seulean of Northglenn, CO, Luanne Faye (husband Pastor James) Bouslog of New Buffalo, MI, Mary Beth Holzman of Anderson, Jacqueline Kay (husband Joey) Ford of Macon, GA, and Julie Metzger of Anderson. She was blessed with 19 Grandchildren: Rodney Ballard, Todd Ballard, Pastor Corey Seulean, Brian Neeley, Valerie Endyk, Pastor Mark Bouslog, Michelle Hobart, Marsha Hooker, Melissa Bouslog, Melanie Bouslog, Jessica Holzman, Jake Holzman, Justin Holzman, Thomas Bowker, Hunter Bowker, Jake Bowker, Elyse Ford, Drew Ford, and Zachary Metzger. There are also 19 Great Grandchildren and 2 brothers, David (wife Karen) Walsh of FL and Steve Walsh of Fortville, and several nieces and nephews.

Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Langford Bassemer on November 8, 2012, her parents, Merle and Ruth Walsh, sisters, Nancy Noe and Arlene Heady, and brothers, Jack Walsh and Dick Walsh.

Visitation will be on Friday, July 5, 2013 from 6-8 pm at Rozelle Johnson Funeral Service, 229 S Rangeline Road, Anderson, and also one hour prior to the memorial service on Saturday at the Church. Celebration-of-Life services will be held at Grace Baptist Church, 432 W 300 North (Hartman Road), Anderson, on Saturday at 11:00 am. Pastor Joshua Crockett of Grace Baptist Church, along with Pastor James Bouslog of Bible Baptist Church, New Buffalo, MI, will be officiating. Pastor Corey Seulean and Pastor Mark Bouslog, grandsons of the deceased, will be speaking at the service along with son-in-law, soloist Joey Ford. Burial will follow the service at East Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson.
