Elsie (Lippincott) Chadwick, 89, of Duxbury and Jamestown, RI, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on June 26, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Theodore Chadwick, Jr. and the daughter of the late Bertram Lippincott and Elsie Hirst Lippincott. She was the sister of Bertram Lippincott, Jr., and the late Barton Lippincott and Joanna L. Sorlien. Elsie leaves Theodore III, his wife, Nancy, of Duxbury, their two daughters, Cordelia, of San Francisco and Whitney, of Somerville; Peter, of Miami Beach; John, of Plymouth; and George of Los Gatos, CA and his four sons, Samuel of San Francisco, Harrison, Anthony, and Sawyer, all of Los Gatos, and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church, 842 Tremont Street, in Duxbury on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the Mass. Assoc. of Mental Health, a cause deeply supported by Elsie and Ted, her husband, 130 Bowdoin Street, Ste. 309, Boston, MA 02108 or to the Cranberry Hospice at Jordan Hospital, 36 Cordage Park Circle, Ste. 326, Plymouth, MA 02360.
