Armand L. Grandmont 83 of Howe Village, died Sunday, August 22 at the Masonic Home in Charlton after an illness. He leaves his wife of 58 years, Irene A. (Larocque) Grandmont, two sons; Richard P. Grandmont of Auburn, Donald A. Grandmont of Macungie, Pa., a daughter, Jeanne A. Grandmont of Brookfield, a brother, Paul Grandmont of Spencer and three grandchildren. He was born in Spencer the son of Louis & Olivine (Paul) Grandmont and has lived here all his life.Mr. Grandmont was a direct industrial car control clerk at Conrail in Worcester for 41 years, retiring in 1981. He was a graduate of David Prouty High School in Spencer. A member of St. Mary's Church in Spencer and it's Sacred Heart League. He was an honorary member of the Knights of Columbus #118, the American Legion Post 138, Spencer and the Transportation Communication International Union Board 086 (AFL-CIO). He was an Army Air Corps Veteran of WW II, serving in the European African Eastern thetre. He was also an avid golfer.The funeral will be held Wednesday, August 25th from the J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 60 Maple St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
