A Memorial Gathering will be held in the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Friday 4-8pm. A private family graveside service will be held on Monday in Calvary Cemetery.
Obituary Information
Edward F. Saba, 67 years died unexpectedly Sunday, August 22, at his home. Born and raised in Brockton, son of the late Edward J. and Irene (Stulpin) Saba, he had been a lifelong resident of Brockton. He attended Brockton schools, was a graduate of Brockton High School, class of 1954 and also attended Curry College. While a student at Brockton High, he played on the football team and was also a member of the golf team. He was the former co owner, with his brother David, of Abbey Plumbing Company in Brockton, and was a co founder with his son of Free Flow Inc. of Brockton. He retired as the Supervisor of Engineering Services at the Brockton Veterans Administration Medical Center after many years. He served as President for four years of NAGE local union, Brockton. He enjoyed golf, and was a former member of the DW Field Golf Course, also cooking and gardening.
He is survived by his son Lee E. Saba and his fiance Kanna St. Germain of Plymouth, a grandson Maxxwell L. Saba, two brothers David L. Saba of Brockton and Andrew Saba of Halifax, his former wife Chanda (Hansen) Sviokla of Marshfield, several aunts, cousins nieces and nephews.
