Morris Alan Brooks, 54, passed away at his residence on Thursday, May 30, 2013. Born in Dalton, GA, Alan was the son of the late Morris E. and Betty Brooks. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia where he earned a degree in Law. He had spent the last seven years of his life as a Flooring Specialist with Home Depot #2313 where he made many friends, including his Flooring Department co-worker Judy Coleman. He is survived by his fellow co-workers and friends of Home Depot Store #2313 and a brother of Iowa.
A memorial service to celebrate Alan's life will be 7 pm Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Owen Funeral Home, 9318 Taylorsville Road, Louisville, KY 40299 with Home Depot Associate and minister, John Hughes officiating. Visitation will be 3 pm until the time of service that day at the funeral home.
