Garrett Morgan of Ledyard, CT, passed away on June 25, 2013 at the age of 33. He was born in New London on May 17, 1980 and lived his entire life in Ledyard.
He is survived by his mother Deborah (Sestito) Morgan, his father Richard Morgan and brother Chad Morgan, all of Ledyard. Garrett loved his family and shared many memorable times with his aunts, uncles, and cousins on holidays and get togethers.
He graduated from Ledyard High School in the class of 1998 and was a member of the high school wrestling team.
Garrett enjoyed his career as a masonry apprentice to a good friend and employer William French Masonry. Throughout his life he was a steadfast worker and help to his Dad on the Morgan family farm.
His hobbies included body building, writing poems and walks on the farm with his dearly loved dogs Butch, Chase & Tan. Garrett will be remembered by his family and many loving friends for his kind heart, and high spirited nature. He was known for his mischievous grin that always made people smile. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him, especially his Mom, Dad and brother Chad.
A Catholic Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at 10am at St. Patrick Church, 32 East Main Street, Mystic followed by a graveside ceremony in Seth Williams Cemetery at the Morgan family farm on Shewville Road in Ledyard.
