Janet I. (Arsenault) Rogers, 69, of New Bedford died Monday August 23, 2004 at Brandon Woods of Dartmouth after a long illness.
Born and raised in Fall River, the daughter of the late Romuald and Aurora (Vezina) Arsenault, she lived in New Bedford for many years.
Mrs Rogers was formerly employed as a health unit coordinator at St. Luke's Hospital until her retirement.
In her younger days, she was an avid roller skater and a member of the Lincoln Park Roller Skating Club. She enjoyed the ocean, her grandsons, and animals, especially her cat, Sadie.
Survivors include a daughter, Paula J. Sipple and her husband Shawn of South Dartmouth; two sons, Steven Oldrid and his wife Kate, of New Bedford, and Scott Oldrid of Wareham; and two grandsons, Joshua J. Sipple and Jarren H. Oldrid.
Her Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday August 28, 2004 at 10:30 AM in St. Mary's Church, South Dartmouth. Visiting hours are omitted. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the American Lung Association, One Abbey Lane, Middleboro, MA 02346.
