McNAMARA Edna A. of Worcester age 90 after a brief illness, June 24, 2013. Sister of M. Jean O’Donnell of Amherst and the late Bishop John R. McNamara and Thomas J. McNamara. Beloved aunt of Jean E. O’Donnell, Susan Seward, Marybeth Baez, Patrick, Tom and Bill McNamara. Aslo survived by 4 great nephews, 2 great nieces and one great great nephew. Dear cousin Ann Coughlin, John Coughlin, Helen Kelly, Mike Donnelly and Barbara Law. Edna was born in Brookfield, Ma. graduate of Mass. State College, Stanford University. She taught English at Worcester High School for many years. The Funeral is on Saturday June 29th. at 9am. from the O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home,952 Park Ave. WORCESTER, Ma. followed by a Funeral Mass at Christ the King Church, Worcester at 10 o’clock. Visiting hours Friday 4:30-7:30pm. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Bishop McNamara Memorial Scholarship, 530 Stevens St. Lowell, Ma. 01852.
