Mary H. (Lyle) Leathers, 90, of Stoughton, a retired homemaker, passed away Friday at her home after a lengthy illness, under the care of The Hospice of Greater Brockton. She was the wife of the late Kenneth C. Leathers.
Born December 20, 1913, in Prince Edward Island, Canada, she was the daughter of the late John and Eleanor Lyle. She had resided in Stoughton for over seventy years.
She was employed by the former J.W. Woods Company of Stoughton.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Stoughton.
She enjoyed spending her summers at Cape Cod.
She is survived by her son, John L. Leathers and his wife Ellen of Stoughton. She was also the mother of the late Kenneth B. Leathers. She was the sister of the late Gladys Gunning, Reva Leathers, Winnie Gee, Lauretta Keyes and Lulu Morrill. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Kim Bourland of Dallas,TX, Deborah Leathers of Stoughton,MA, Kevin Leathers of Burbank,CA, Tracy Dray of Bridgewater,MA, Karen Gammon of Dallas,TX , Kenneth Leathers also of Dallas,TX and her four great-grandchildren, Ryan Connors, Richard Dray III, Sarah Gammon and John Dray.
Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday August 24, 2004 at 10:30 A.M. from the Sheehan Funeral Home, 115 Monk Street, Stoughton. With the Reverend Dr. Henry K. James, officiating. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, Stoughton. Visiting hours are on Monday from 4-7 P.M.
