
Schlepegrell, Georgia Elizabeth, 94, of Duxbury formerly of Plymouth and Sharon, passed away peacefully at her home in Duxbury on June 4 after a brief illness.
Georgia was born in Norwood the daughter of the late Jacob and Elizabeth Schlepegrell and sister of the late Marie Chamberlain. Georgia graduated from Sharon High School in the Class of 1936 and earned a BS in Education from Framingham State College in 1940. She joined the U.S. Navy Waves in 1943 and was Commissioned a 1st Lieutenant jg in 1944 as a Dietetics and Commissary Officer, and retired from the Navy in 1951. Georgia worked for the Brockton School Department for over 21 years as Director of School Lunches. She was a member of the Chiltonville Congregational Church and the Plymouth Garden Club.
Georgia is survived by cousins and many dear friends. She travelled widely and enjoyed many hobbies through which she brought joy to those around her. Her kindness and generosity touched deeply those who knew her, whether they lived next door or across the country. Georgia will be missed so much.
There are no visiting hours and burial (funeral) services will be private
