Laura Barrett Johnson Dermott, age 93, of Douglas, GA passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at Shady Acres Convalescent Center after an extended illness. Mrs. Dermott was born on March 19, 1920, in Douglas, GA to the late Harvey W. Barrett and Agnes Dickson Barrett.
Survivors include two sons: John and his wife, Delaine Johnson, Ambrose, GA and Rev. Dan and his wife, Brenda Johnson, Ocilla, GA. One sister: Edith McKinnon of Douglas, GA. Six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 24, 2013 from 6 to 9 PM at Sims Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church in Douglas, GA.
