In Taunton, June 20, 2013 Mary “Gay Gay” (Pina) Marquez wife of the late Louis Marquez died at home with her family by her side at the age of 70. Born and educated in Middleboro, Mary was the daughter of the late George and Lillian (Gomes) Pina. Mary enjoyed dancing, singing, cooking, joking around and especially spending time with her family. Mary was the mother of George David Pina, Olando Perez, Elena Perez, Lillian Perez, Jose Rodriguez, Maria Rodriguez, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Tyanna Marquez, Carmen Marquez and Angel Marquez all of Taunton. Grandmother of twenty grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. Sister of Ellen Pina of Taunton and Frances Dorothy of NH. Calling hours will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Tuesday, June 25th from 5-8 PM. A Mass will be held at St Andrew the Apostle Church in Taunton on Wednesday at 11 AM. Interment Mayflower Hill Cemetery in Taunton.
