Obituary

Kenneth G. Budden, 78, of Derry, NH, died Friday, August 20, 2004 in the Parkland Medical Center in Derry following a brave battle with cancer. Mr. Budden was born in Mount Holly, NJ on May 8, 1926, a son of the late John F. and Ethel (Thomas) Budden. He was a resident of Derry since 1981, formerly living in Edgewater Park, NJ. He was a US Navy WWII veteran serving on the USS Langley and was a member of the USS Langley (CVL 27) Association. He had been employed by Hadco Printed Circuits in Derry in the maintenance dept. for 10 years, retiring in 1992. He enjoyed woodworking, making flagpoles and gardening..

He is survived by his wife, Barbara A. (Proveaux) Budden of Derry, one daughter, Ethel Adams of Edgewater Park, NJ, one son, Kenneth Budden of Columbia, MD, one stepson, Thomas Janes of North Platt, NB, three stepdaughters, Susan Janes of Laconia, NH, Catherine Beckett of Florida, Leslie Kittelsen of Baldwinsville, NY, one grandson, six stepgrandchildren, several step great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 9 - 11am at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry with a funeral service beginning at 11:00. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkland Medical Center, Social Services Dept., 1 Parkland Dr., Derry, NH 03038.
