Sebastiano James Sambuco, of Pembroke, formerly of Medford and the West End, died Wednesday at Bay Path at Duxbury. He was 91.
Born and raised in Boston’s West End, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Sebastiana (Salemi) Sambuco. Sebastian worked as a lobster fisherman throughout his life. He lived in Medford for many years before moving to Pembroke.
The husband of the late Margaret (Ternullo) Sambuco, he was the father of Ann Carol Cahill and Mary Jean Cahill and her husband Jim. The brother of Frank Sambuco and his wife Mary, Connie Marano and the late Sara Brown and Mary Ward, he also leaves 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Monday, June 24th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit at the funeral home, Sunday 4 – 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at St. Michael Cemetery, Roslindale.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Sebastiano’s name to a charity of One’s choice.
