Salvatore DiChiappari, 94 of Somerville, died Wednesday after a brief illness in the Life Care Center of Stoneham, Stoneham, MA.
Born in Italy, he lived in Somerville since 1961. He was the son of the late Civita (Magliosi) and Cosmo DiChiappari. Salvatore was a Meat Packer, at the former P.W. Rounsvell (Maple Leaf) in Cambridge for 30 years and retired in 1982.
Beloved husband of Civita (Colozzo) DiChiappari. Devoted father of Cosmo DiChiappari and his wife Martha of Medford, Frank DiChiappari and his wife Anna of Andover. Loving grandfather of Sal, Maria, Stephen and Cara.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Monday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Ann Church, 399 Medford St., Somerville, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8.
Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
