Thomas P. Southwood of South Dennis, formerly of Canton, died at the Cape Cod Hospital Wednesday June 19, 2013. He was 66 years old.
Born in Norwood, Tom grew up in Canton and attended Canton schools. A graduate of Canton High 1964 he worked as an equipment installer for New England Telephone for many years until retiring in 1998.
After retirement Tom moved to the Cape to enjoy many rounds of golf. Tom was a proud member of Alcoholics Anonymous for over 22 years.
Son of the late Lawrence and Catherine Southwood. Devoted husband of the late Susan M. Southwood (Botti). Proud father of Christopher M. Southwood and his wife Nancy Vendice of Pocasset, James B. Southwood of Manhattan N.Y., and Kalyn M. Southwood of Pocasset. Loving brother of Ann M. Linehan of N.H., and Larry Southwood of Walpole. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours in the Pushard Family Funeral Home 210 Sherman St., Canton, Sunday from 2-6 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Gerard Majella Church 1860 Washington St., Monday June 24, 2013 at 10 AM. Interment Canton Corner Cemetery.
