BARANOFSKY, John in his 103rd year, June 16, 2013, formerly of Kingston, NH and Jamaica Plain. Beloved husband of the late Marie (Feeney) Baranofsky. Devoted father of Ann Marie (Baranofsky) Robbins and father-in-law of the late Fredrick L. Robbins of West Roxbury, and to the late John J. Baranofsky and father-in-law to Catherine (Cook) Baranofsky of Plymouth. Loving brother to the late Peter J. Baranofsky and Anna (Baranofsky) Grabol and her late husband Al Grabol of South Boston. Also survived by nine grandchildren, Carol (Baranofsky) Pugh and husband Mark Pugh of Glen Allen, VA, Joseph Baranofsky and wife Christine (D’Angio) Baranofsky of East Hampstead, NH, Susan (Baranofsky) Lynch and husband Thomas Lynch of Reading, Thomas Robbins and wife Elizabeth Windsor of Medfield, Paul Baranofsky of Waltham, John Robbins of Mansfield, Michael Baranofsky and wife Kimberley (Gale) Baranofsky of Peabody, Edward Baranofsky and wife Ann Marie Baranofsky of Lancaster and James Baranofsky of Waltham. Also four step-grandchildren, Robert Trepanier and wife Martha of East Wolfeboro, NH, Sarah Trepanier of Rochester, NH, Susan (Cook) Kirrane and husband David of West Roxbury and Katherine (Cook) Donovan and husband Patrick of Plymouth and cherished great-grandfather of 17 great-grandchildren. Also survived by several nieces and nephews as well as grand-nieces and nephews.
John celebrated his life with family, friends and always kept his sense of humor. He will be remembered for his love of family, his practicality and easy-going nature, and never leaving a room without some story to share. He was a true role-model for his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will always remain in our hearts.
Funeral from the P.E. Murray-F.J. Higgins, George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 2000 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY, Friday, June 21 at 9:00am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John Chrysostom Church, West Roxbury at 10:00am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Thursday, June 20 from 4:00-8:00pm. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
