TAUNTON – Angelina (Souza) Mason, longtime companion of the late Francisco “Frank” Couto, died at Morton Hospital on June 16, 2013.
She was 84.
Born in Taunton, the daughter of the late Henry and Rose (Bento) Souza, she was raised and educated in Taunton, and was later employed as a machine operator by Balfour of Attleboro.
She retired in 1994.
A resident of Boston for some years, she enjoyed knitting and crocheting; and was a communicant of Annunciation of the Lord Church.
Survivors include two sons, Irving R. Mason of Salisbury and Robert M. Mason and his wife Linda of Tacoma, Washington; four daughters, Rose Kennedy of Raynham, Jessie Irlbeck and her husband Gary Irlbeck, Sr. of Minnesota, Sarah Barnes and her husband Frank of VT, and Martha Lafon and her husband Jack of Lakeville; a sister, Theresa Peck of Taunton; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by nine siblings.
A funeral mass to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be held at Annunciation of the Lord Church on Friday, June 21st at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
