THOMPSON – Nellie C. (Joslin) Weiss, 93, of 1333 Thompson Road., died Thursday, August 19, in Lanessa Health Care, Webster. Her husband of 53 years, Arthur E. Weiss, died in 1985.
She leaves a daughter, Katherine J. Bates of Smithfield, RI; 2 sons, John A. and his wife Carol A. Weiss of Thompson, and William A. and his wife Bambi A. Weiss of Holden; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. A son, Arthur Weiss, died in 1934.
She was a lifelong resident of Thompson, and attended Tourtellotte Memorial High School in North Grosvenordale.
Mrs. Weiss was a licensed practical nurse at Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam for 32 years, retiring in 1973.
The funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM Monday, August 23, in the Scanlon Funeral Service, East Main Street, Webster. Burial will be in Joslin Cemetery. Calling hours are from 3:00 to 6:00 PM Sunday, August 22, in the funeral home.
