Son of the late Charles Leo and Margaret O’Meara Schmitt. Brother of Muffie (Fred) Liebler, Charles (Lynn) Schmitt, Joe (Maureen) Schmitt, Kathy Broderick, Jim (Kim) Schmitt, Paul (Julie) Schmitt, Richard Schmitt, and Laurie (Jeffrey) Smith. Brother in law to Carol McGoogan, Jack (Barb) McGoogan, Diane (Michael) Sweeney, Michael (Lori) McGoogan, Mary Ellen (Jim) Malcolm, Lisa (Malik) Soukehal, and the late Maureen (Francis) Simington.
