RAYNHAM/TAUNTON – Virginia (Mota) Semiao, wife of the late Luiz DeCosta Semiao, died at the Life Care Center of Raynham on June 15, 2013.
She was 87.
Born in Raynham, the daughter of the late Joao and Ana Mota, she was raised and educated in St. Michael, Azores.
A resident of the Taunton and Raynham area since 1953, Mrs. Semiao was employed as a seamstress by the former Taunton Dress and Whittenton Garment Companies for several years.
A dedicated parishioner of Annunciation of the Lord Church and the former Our Lady of Lourdes Church, she was an active participant in Holy Ghost Festivities.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Rebello and her husband Russell Browning of Taunton, and Fatima Bonarrigo and her husband Leo H. of Milton; two sisters, Florinda Benevides of Taunton and Maria DaSilva of Bermuda; two grandchildren, Jennifer Bonarrigo of Quincy and Lee Bonarrigo of Salem; and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Thursday June 20th at 8:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Annunciation of The Lord Church at 10 a.m.
The family will be receiving visitors at the funeral home between the hours of 8:30 and 9:30 a.m., prior to the funeral mass.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
