Lucy ‘Lou’ (LaBrie) Clark 95 of Salem, passed away at her home, Friday, June 14, 2013 with her family by her side. She was the devoted wife of the late Freeman Jack Clark.
Born in Peabody and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Felix and Delima (Chouinard) LaBrie. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, she took special pride in creating a wonderful home for her family. She especially loved her garden and during the 1960’s and ‘70’s enjoyed her time at the family’s second home in Maine where she won an award for snowmobiling. Lou was also a faithful member of Ste. Anne Parish, where over the years she did crafts and volunteered for the parish Holiday Church Fair. She was a member of the League of Catholic women.
She is survived by her daughters, Carol L. Clark of Salem, Sally A. Cooke and her husband Richard of Denmark, ME, a son, Maurice G. Clark and his wife M. Susan of Randolph Center, VT, her two sisters, Ida Landry of Canada and Lorraine Belanger of Salem. She also leaves five grandchildren, Karen Reardon and her husband Sean, Adrian Clark and his wife Jo-An, Brian Clark and his close companion Maria, Kevin Clark and companion Heather, Steven Cooke and his wife Cheryl, as well as ten great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Archie LaBrie and sister, Antoinette Ann Ouellette.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visiting hours on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Rt. 114 / 1-A] Salem from 8:00 A.M. to 9:30 A.M. to be followed by her funeral mass in Ste. Anne Church, Jefferson Ave., Salem at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
