TEWKSBURY - Mr. Joseph E. Sacco, age 76, died peacefully on Friday, June 14, at the Wilmington Health Care Center. He was the beloved husband of Margaret R. Sacco, who died in 2006.
Mr. Sacco was born in Everett, October 6, 1936, one of eleven children of the late Anthony and Anna (Russo) Sacco, and was raised in Everett.
He served in the U.S. Army in the years following the Korean War.
Mr. Sacco retired from the regional sorting facility of the U.S.P.S. in Woburn after 20 years of service.
He leaves a son, Michael S. Sacco of Tewksbury; a daughter, Jacqueline Albert and her husband Stephen of Townsend; two grandchildren, Stephen Albert of Tewksbury and Maria Albert of Townsend; two brothers, Raymond LePore of Everett and John Sacco and his wife Joan of TX; three sisters, Delores Osbourne and her husband William of Stoneham, Arlene Johnson of Wilmington, and Dorothy Rainone of Everett; and many nieces and nephews.
He was also father of the late Joseph A. Sacco, who died in 1988.
His Funeral Mass was celebrated Wednesday, June 19, in St. William’s Church, Tewksbury. Burial followed at St. Mary Cemetery, No. Tewksbury.
