Vincent P. DeRosa

...retired from Raytheon; 83

TEWKSBURY - Vincent P. DeRosa, age 83, a retired Raytheon employee, died Thursdaymorning, Aug. 19, at the Fairhaven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lowell, after a longperiod of declining health. He was the husband of Isabelle M. (Sandmann) DeRosa, with whomhe had celebrated a 62nd wedding anniversary on June 2nd.He was born in Boston, Jan. 23, 1921, a son of the late Philip and Rose (Poto) DeRosa.

During WW2, he served in the U.S. Navy in the Asiatic-Pacific War Theaters.

He retired from Raytheon, where he had worked as a Chemical and Process Engineer at theBedford, Waltham, and South Lowell facilities.

He held a degree in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University.

He was active in the Tewksbury V.F.W. Post 8164, and the Tewksbury American Legion Post.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia Beaulieu and herhusband Robert Winters of Tewksbury, Susan and her husband Peter Surette of Pelham, NH; ason, Philip DeRosa of Waltham; two sisters, Marie Warren of Arlington, Anne Bucciero ofArlington, two grandchildren, Justin Beaulieu, Nicole Ashley; three great grandchildren, LoganT., Caleb R., Laila C.

He was also father of the late Elaine Collins, who died in 1966.

A Memorial Mass was celebrated Friday, Aug. 27, in St. William's Church, Tewksbury. Interment was in Tewksbury Cemetery.
