Francisca (Carmo) Carreiro, age 90 of Fall River, passed away June 12, 2013 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late João P. Carreiro. Born in Faial de Terra, São Miguel, Açores, she was the daughter of the late Augusto & Virginia (Lima) Carmo. Prior to retiring, Francisca worked for Shelburne Shirt Co. as a Folder, and she was a parishioner of St. Michael Church.
She is survived by her 2 sons, Gilbert and John Carreiro, both of Fall River; a brother Daniel Carmo of Somerset; 8 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews. She was the sister of the late Virginia Almeida, Jose, Agostinho, & Sisfredo Carmo.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 N. Main St., Fall River, MA SATURDAY at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael Church at 9:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Fall River.
