GRANBY – Elizabeth I. “Betty” (Sutherland) Beaulieu, 71, of Granby entered peacefully into eternal rest on Saturday, June 8, 2013, surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Inverness, Scotland, December 21, 1941, a beloved daughter of the late Andrew and Isabelle (Cutler) Sutherland. She was raised in Inverness, Scotland and later married and settled in Holyoke. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur L. Beaulieu. They were married on May 15, 1965 at the former Precious Blood Church in Holyoke and were blessed with over 42 years of happiness together. Betty and Art raised their family in Williamstown, MA during which time she was employed as a paraprofessional at the Mount Greylock Regional High School. Upon retirement, Betty and Art traveled between White Lake, Ontario, Canada and Foley, Alabama. Betty leaves her loving sons, Scott A. Beaulieu and his wife, Brook, of Belchertown, Stephen A. Beaulieu of Castleton-on-Hudson, NY, and Christopher J. Beauieu and his wife, Jessica Pillmore of Jacksonville, FL. She also leaves her six cherished grandchildren, Evan and Logann Beaulieu, Katelyn, Hunter and Jordyn Beaulieu and Griffin Pillmore Beaulieu; her dear brother, Colin Sutherland of Inverness, Scotland; her dear sisters-in-law of the Beaulieu family, Rita Beaulieu of Knoxville, TN, Beatrice Lavallee of Holyoke, Anita Beaulieu of Avon Park, FL, and Annette Beaulieu of Belchertown; and her many dear nephews and nieces. At her request, there are no formal services. In lieu of flowers, her family has requested that memorial donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St, Framingham, MA 01701.
