Funeral Services for Maxine Baker Poole, age 75 of 607 Whatley Drive, Ashburn will be held Saturday, August 21, 2004 , at 11:00 A. M. at the Ashburn First United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Poole died Tuesday at Tift Regional Medical Center after a long illness.
Mrs. Poole was a native of Thorndale, Texas, the daughter of the late James E. and Callie Howe Baker. She had been a resident of Ashburn since 1959 was a retired Utilities Clerk for the City of Ashburn. She was a member of the Ashburn First United Methodist Church and the Bessie Harris Circle. She was the widow of Dr. Henry Grady Poole who died April 23, 2004.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Craig & Michelle Poole of Ashburn, son Jimmy Walden of Atlanta, daughters and son-in-laws Kathryn & Darrell Austin of Cordele, and Deborah & Alton M. Clark of Vienna, Ga., her sisters Novice Barlow of Castlerock, Col. and Bernice Mercer of Austin, Texas and eleven grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday evening seven until nine at the funeral home.
