Beverly A. (Donahue) Bonamici, of Brockton, age 84, died Monday June 10, 2013 after a period of failing health. She was the wife of Thomas G. Bonamici, Sr. for 64 years. Born, raised and educated in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Louis P. and Grace A. (Holmes) Donahue.
Beverly worked at Knapp and Douglas Shoe Factories as well as some area Nursing Homes and retired from the Brockton Hospital. She enjoyed spending many summers at the family cottage in Dennisport on Cape Cod and ballroom dancing with her husband. She also enjoyed being a homemaker, spending time with family and family gatherings.
In addition to her husband she is survived by four children, Shirley Celia of Brockton, Nancy Clinch of Taunton, Thomas G. Bonamici, Jr. and Joan MacLaughlin of Brockton; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren, five nephews, one niece and one cousin. She was the sister of the late Shirley Donahue and Lois Gagnon.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Wednesday 4-8pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Thursday at 8am for a Funeral Mass in Christ the King Parish/St. Colman Church at 9am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
