Charles Mells Borders, Jr. 88, died Thursday, May 16, 2013 in the house on North Road where he was born and lived his entire life. He was the husband of the late Margery (Pickett) Borders and son of the late Charles M. and Carolina Albertina Wilhelmina (Martenson) Borders.
Charles was a retired diary farmer. His property will be preserved as a non-profit historical farm for the benefit of the public.
He was buried in Spears Cemetery in Foster. Funeral services were private. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Borders Farm Preservation, Inc., 31 North Road, Foster, RI 02825.
