BROWNING, Barbara Ann (Thomas), 82, of Louisville passed to the Lord on Monday, June 10, 2013.
She was a native of Loretto, KY and was born on July 21, 1930 to William Gobel and Mary Ethel (Avery) Thomas.
Barbara Ann was a founding member of Incarnation Catholic Church and very active in her parish. She is a member of Incarnation Catholic Church Senior Club, Millcreek VFW Post Ladies Auxiliary and retired from Brown & Williamson Tobacco Corporation.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph “Snook” Browning, her parents, seven brothers and two sisters.
Barbara Ann is survived by her six children, Steven Browning (Brenda), Marsha Ross (Bill), Carol Metcalfe (Jim), Brenda Browning, Joe Browning (Sherry), Kim Clark (Danny); eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Dolores Borders of Louisville, KY and Marilyn Burba of New Haven, KY one brother, Pat Thomas of Sun City, FL; several in-laws; many nieces and nephews; countless friends; and wonderful caregivers.
Barbara Ann’s funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Incarnation Catholic Church 2229 Lower Hunters Trace with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held 11:00 am – 8:00 pm Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy.
