METHUEN – Simone Theresa (Michaud) Schelling, 79, passed away Saturday June 8, 2013 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill with her family by her side.
Born and educated in Lawrence, MA, she was the daughter of Alfred and Maria (Roy) Michaud and was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School and worked as a bookkeeper with Oomphies, Inc., in Lawrence. She attended Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish. She enjoyed dancing, bowling, golf, and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
The widow of Roland P. Schelling, she is survived by her four children, Dennis R. Schelling and his wife Catherine of Derry, NH, Kenneth D. Schelling and his wife Kathleen of Lanesboro, MA, Lynne M. Shay of North Andover, Brenda L. Schelling-Biggs and her husband Joseph Biggs of Westminster, MA.
One sister Jacqueline Baillargeon of Salem, NH; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Pauline Michaud of Lawrence, Marcelle Rochon of Augusta, GA, Gertrude Michaud of Arizona and Marguerite Schelling of Coral Gables, FL, Evelyn and Donald Schelling of Methuen.
Grandchildren, Caitlyn, Ryan, Keegan, Kelsey, Kyler, Casey, Maegan and Matthew; four great-grandchildren Alexis, Alayna, Erin and Emily and also several nieces and nephews.
Simone was predeceased by her siblings, Leo, Raymond, Fernand, Normand, Albert, Gertrude Bennette, Lucille Bassett and Lillian Michaud.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00a.m. in Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish/St. Theresa’s Church in Methuen with burial to follow in the Elmwood Cemetery also in Methuen, MA.
