Robert M. “Bob” Shaw, 69, of Tifton died Sunday, June 9, 2013, at Rehabilitation Center of South Georgia. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Ty Ty. Rev. Jim Duggan and Rev. Chad Hall will officiate with burial to follow at the First Baptist Church of Ty Ty Cemetery. Russ Shaw, Sephus Willis, Pate Willis, Glynn Willis, Frank Willis, Allen Griffin, Eddie Greene and Bill Warren will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Shaw was born on June 6, 1944 in Nashville and was the son of William Ralph Shaw, Sr. and Inez Mangham Shaw, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Bill Shaw, Jr. He was retired from UPS and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ty Ty. He was also a veteran of the United States Army.
Mr. Shaw is survived by his wife, Yoshie “Tommie” Shaw of Tifton; one son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Cindy Shaw of Tifton; one sister-in-law, Harriett Shaw Cooper of Tifton; and two grandchildren, Nathan Shaw and Sophie Shaw.
