Angela (Grande) Maffie, a long-time Medford resident died peacefully at Tufts Medical Center. She was 82.
Born and raised in Boston's North End, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Raphaela (Andronico) Grande. A Medford resident for 51 years, Angela worked for over 27 years as the book keeper at Medford Oral Surgery. Angela enjoyed many strong friendships and still met regularly for lunch with her high school friends. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed a special bond with her grandchildren, helping to watch them as they grew up.
The beloved wife of Anthony Maffie, with whom she shared nearly 60 years of marriage, she was a devoted mother to Maria Bakopolus and her husband Arthur of Methuen, Joan Robblee and her husband Michael of Stoneham. She leaves her loving grandchildren, Gregory and Laura Bakopolus and Jessica Robblee. She was a dear sister to Frank Grande and the late Anthony Grande.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Tuesday, June 11th at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4 through 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
