Methuen - Carmen F. Miele, 91, passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 6th at Methuen Village surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 31, 1922, son of the late Florence (Falice) and Benjamino Miele. Carmen grew up in Lawrence and lived in Methuen his entire life and later went on to proudly serve his country fighting the front lines in Germany and France with the US Army during WWII. He worked as a purchasing agent for Textron in Lowell for many years until retirement. After retirement Carmen enjoyed being an avid Boston sports fan but most of all spending time with his family, especially at his beach house in Salisbury.
Carmen is survived by his wife Rose with whom he shared 62 years of marriage, a sister Laura York of Salem NH and several nieces and nephews. He was also pre deceased by his brothers Joseph, Jan, Anthony and Louis and sisters Amelia and Savina.
Friends and relatives may call Saturday June 8th from 10:30AM-12:30PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street Methuen MA. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place Saturday June 8th at 1PM at the Corpus Christi-Holy Rosary Church in Lawrence. Burial will follow at Saint Mary Immaculate Cemetery in Lawrence.
