Edward E. "Ed" Berger, 55, of Manchester, NH, died Monday, August 16, 2004 in the Elliot Hospital in Manchester. Ed was born in Manchester on February 13, 1949, a son of the late Alfred and Annette (Boily) Berger and was a lifelong resident. He was a graduate of Central High School in Manchester, Class of 1967. He was employed as a service manager for AAMCO Transmissions in Amherst. Ed enjoyed boating, motorcycling and snowmobiling. He was member of Mountain View Yacht Club in Gilford, NH where he served on the Board of Directors, and was a Director for D-Dock. He was a member of the Harley Owners Group. Ed was a longtime member of the band Red Wine.
He is survived by his wife, Linda C. (Gamelin) Berger of Manchester, two daughters, Wendy Berger, Lisa Berger both of Allenstown, NH, one grandson, Tyler Thomas of Allenstown, three sisters, Dolores D'Agostino, Louise Primmer, Tracey Lessard all of Manchester, one brother, Bruce Berger of Contoocook, NH, several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 20th at 10:00am in the St. Jean Baptiste Church, 10 School St., Allenstown. The burial will be in the St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Allenstown. Friends may call on Thursday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry, NH. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 44 Binney St., Boston, MA 02115 (please earmark for Research).
