Timothy D. Sweeney

ANDOVER: Timothy D. Sweeney, age 52, a longtime resident of Andover, passed away at the Massachusetts General Hospital on Sunday, June 2, 2013.
Born in Brooklyn, NY on December 24, 1960, he was the beloved son of the late Daniel P. Sweeney and Rebecca Kenney-Olofsson and her husband Alan P. Kenney, who survive him, of Andover.
Tim was raised in Andover, and attended Andover Public Schools.
Prior to his illness, he operated the Tim Sweeney & Son Landscape Company for 15 years.
Tim enjoyed performing philanthropic support to the community including Andover Youth Services.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, Scott D. Sweeney of Andover; three siblings, Robyn Ellington of Havre, MT, Kirk Sweeney and his wife Yaovaret of Hong Kong, and Elizabeth Meissner and her husband Michael of Ayer, MA; also many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be Friday, June 7, from 4-8 p.m., in the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family in West Parish Cemetery, Andover. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Andover Youth Services, 37 Pearson Street, Andover, MA 01810.
