
Margaret (Harlow) Parker

Margaret (Harlow) Parker, passed peacefully at 101, at Elmcroft Heartland Village in Muncie, on June 3, 2013.
She was born June 9, 1911 in Saskatchewan, Canada to Vernon and Elizabeth (Shuck) Harlow. She resided most of her adult life in Anderson. She was a graduate of Indiana University and John Herron School of Art. She was a music teacher for Franklin Elementary School for many years.
She was a member of Fifth Street United Methodist Church where she was active in the Women's Circle; the Women's Auxiliary of the Salvation Army and AAUW-Trebleaires. She volunteered with the Christian Center and Harter House and was a Pink Lady at Community Hospital.
Survivors include her daughter, Margaret Ann (husband-Mark) Maynard of Alexandria; granddaughter, Laura (husband-Scott) Roudebush of Anderson; two step grandchildren: Amber Maynard ( partner Kimm Spaugh) of Pendleton and John Maynard of Anderson; great granddaughter, Sarah Roudebush; three step-great grandchildren: John Earl Maynard; Jason Maynard and Peyton Spaugh; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, O. Howard Parker; a son, James Harlow Parker and two sisters Vivian Kessler and Elizabeth McKinley.
Service will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Jim Tallman officiating. Visitation will be 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to United Faith Housing.
