FALL RIVER... Carl E. Shoemaker, 52, of Fall River passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2013, surrounded by
His loving family. Born in Fall River, he was a son of Lorraine (Alves) Gifford Shoemaker of Fall River and Charlie Shoemaker of Laughlin, NV. Mr. Shoemaker was raised in South Carolina and had moved to Illinois where he spent many years before returning to Fall River in 2002.
Carl’s LOVE was his “boys” first and foremost and his family. He enjoyed fishing with “his boys”, motorcycles, Red Sox, Patriots, and walking on the water front at Heritage park and at the beach.
Along with his parents, Carl is survived by “his boys” : Justin (Kathy),Tyler (Chelsea),& Aaron (Christy) Shoemaker, and their mother Wilma Shoemaker, all of Effingham, IL, 1 sister: Valerie Gifford Gillen(Mike) of Clovis, CA, 3 brothers: Gary Gifford (Sis) of Fall River, Stephen Shoemaker (Mark) of San Francisco, CA and Walter Shoemaker of Fall River, 5 grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was brother of the late Alan Gifford, and godson of Cheryl Kirker.
The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at Charlton Hospital, and sincere appreciation to South Coast hospice particularly to Jen, Gwen, and Hank.
