CHRYSSIS, George C. Of Southborough, formerly of Weston, May 31st. Beloved husband of Margo (Sayegh) Chryssis.

Devoted father of Rania Makkas and her hus-band Manny, Lily Chryssis, Alex Chryssis and his wife Lindsay. Proud grandfather of Theo and Luke Makkas. Brother of Stelios Chryssis & Eleni Kekaki.

George was President of Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology. He was a businessman, author, poet, and philanthropist recognized for his leadership and achievements with many awards including the Ellis Island Medal of Honor, and a member of the Leadership 100. Former president of the Pan Cretan Association of America, George was a supporter and communicant of the Greek Orthodox Church serving as past president of St. Demetrios and invested as an archon of the Orthodox faith. George earned Bachelor & Master of Science degrees from Northeastern University, and was awarded an honorary Doctorate of Engineering Technology Degree from Wentworth Institute of Technology.

Visiting hours at George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St., (Rte. 16), WELLESLEY, Tuesday 4-8 pm. Funeral service at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 57 Brown St., Weston, Wednesday at 10 am. Relatives & friends kindly invited. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in George's memory to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church.
