CHICOPEE – Cecile J. (Lefebvre) Pelletier, 82, of the Willimansett section of Chicopee was Called Safely Home on Friday, May 31, 2013. She passed into Eternal Life at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Lowell on November 28, 1930, a beloved daughter of the late J. Thomas and Ida (DesGagne) Lefebvre. In 1946, her parents moved to the Chicopee Falls section of Chicopee where she was raised. She later lived in the Aldenville section of Chicopee before moving to the Willimansett section of the city in 1961. She was first employed by the Superbrush Company formerly of Chicopee, then in the cafeteria for the Chicopee School Department, and later at Sears in the Holyoke Mall. She was last employed for 14 years as a cashier at K-Mart at Springfield Plaza. Active in her faith, she was a former communicant of Sainte Rose de Lima Church in Aldenville where she was a member of the Ladies of Saint Anne. She later was a communicant of the former Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Willimansett and currently a communicant of Saint Anthony of Padua Church in Willimansett. She was a loving woman who adored her family and showered them with her affection which was returned to her a thousand fold. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving son, Paul A. Pelletier who was Called Home on February 25, 1959; her loving daughter, Rita A. Kowalski who was Called Home on March 27, 1999; and her dear sister, Theresa Marschka. She leaves the love of her life, her husband, Raymond J. Pelletier. They were married on May 30, 1953 at the former Saint George Church in Chicopee Falls and just celebrated 60 years of happiness together. She also leaves her loving children, Diane M. Cygan and her husband, Robert and Rene P. Pelletier and his wife, Annette, all of Chicopee, and David L. Pelletier and his wife, Cynthia, of Enfield, CT; her loving son-in-law, Michael Kowalski of Springfield; her 10 cherished grandchildren, Cynthia Newsome and her husband, Jedd, Thomas Cygan, Daniel Bedore, Angela Valois and her husband, Brian, Michelle and Justin Kowalski, Casey and Brooke Pelletier, Jennifer Cogoli and her husband, Sean, and Brian Pelletier; her eight cherished great-grandchildren; her dear sister, Rita Arbour and her husband, Gilroy, of Hatfield, MA; her dear sister-in-law of the Pelletier family, Laura M. LeClerc of Chicopee; and her many dear nephews and nieces. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday morning, June 4, 2013 beginning at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (funeral home will open at 9:30 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Saint Anthony of Padua Church, 56 Saint Anthony Street, Chicopee, MA 01013. Her burial will follow the Mass at Sainte Rose Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, June 3, 2013 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The parking lot and main entrance are located in the rear of the funeral home at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
