Joan E. (Hayden) Denning, age 70, passed away on May 27, 2013 at Baystate Medical Center. She was born on July 14, 1942 in Ludlow, MA. Her parents were the late John C. and Evelyn A. (Hunt) Hayden. Joan was a parishioner of the First Park Memorial Baptist Church in Springfield. She worked as a TTY relay operator for Massachusetts Relay for many years before she retired. She leaves her 2 daughters, Laura Simoneau of Agawam and Amy Lindell of Feeding Hills; 2 brothers, John C. Hayden Jr., of Danvers, MA and Allen B. Hayden of Springfield and her 4 beloved grandchildren, Carly Simoneau, Morgan, Kolby and Nathan Lindell. She also leaves her former husband James Denning of Springfield. Joan was a former secretary of the tenants association of Inward Commons. She enjoyed camping and family vacations to Old Orchard Beach, ME. She also enjoyed crocheting and taking pictures of family. Calling hours will be held the morning of her Memorial Service on Saturday June 8, 2013 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the Agawam United Methodist Church, 459 Mill St, Feeding Hills, followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. in the Church.
