Joseph A. Berardi passed away on December 20, 2012 in Port St. Joe Florida with his Chaplain and family friend Debra Bailey by his side.
Joseph was born on June 16, 1920 to Camillo and Cesira (Gargano) Berardi. In 2011 Joseph was predeceased by his wife Laura (Small), (obit online), In 2012 by his son Ronald J. (obit online) and in 1967 by his first wife Rita (Daley). Also deceased are his sisters Rose Tombion and Phyllis Kelso and his brothers Daniel and Peter Berardi and brother in-law Kenneth Small. Joseph leaves his daughters June of Newburyport and Ann M. O’Connor and her husband Paul of TX and their family; his brothers in-law Hugh Small and George Small and their families; his granddaughter Lynne Berardi and daughter in-law Janice Berardi; sisters Dina Foti of Lexington and Anna Sarno and her husband Joseph of Wakefield, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Joseph’s Church 770 Salem Street Malden on Saturday June 1st at 10:00am followed by interment in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Joseph was a former longtime resident of Malden, MA. He was a U.S. Army Veteran during WWII and a retired Postal Worker.
