Dorothy E. (Hayes) Berti, of Medford, died Saturday at the Glen Ridge Nursing Care Center. She was 88.
Mrs. Berti was born and raised in Boston, the daughter of the late Daniel and the late Nora (Peterson) Hayes. A Medford resident since 1948, Dorothy managed Brigham’s in Medford Square from the mid 1950’s to the mid 1960’s.
She was the wife of the late Victor Berti who died in 1989. She was the mother of Dorothy Berti of Portland, ME, Victor Berti of Long Island, NY, James Berti of Topsfield, and the late Diane Venneri. She also leaves 11 loving grandchildren and 8 loving great-grandchildren.
Friends and relatives may visit Monday from 4 - 8 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford.A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Francis Of Assisi Church, Fellsway West, Medford, Tuesday at 10 AM. Burial will follow at St. Michael Cemetery, Boston.
