Janice Marie (Vieu) Whiting, of Barnstable, formerly of Florida and Plymouth, died at home on May 23rd at the age of 64. The beloved wife of the late Robert Whiting, she is survived by her children Robert Whiting of NH, Scott Dickson of Plymouth, Shawn Dickson of Hyannis, Ricky Whiting of Hull, Tracy Wheelden of Westfield, Stacy Kivlin of Plymouth and Lisa Joyce of Barnstable. She also leaves her brother Donald Vieu of Carver, her sisters Sandy Elwell of FL; Bonnie Still of FL and Robin Ryde of NC; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Neil Vieu and the grandmother of the late Kevin Dickson.
Janice was born in Boston and lived most of her life in Plymouth. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in FL and enjoyed bingo, cooking and especially spending time with her family. Visiting hours will be held at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 373 Court St (Rt 3A), N. Plymouth on Wednesday May 29th from 5 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, May 30th at 11 AM. Burial will be private.
