Obituary

Eleanor Denton Wills Morgan, affectionately known as “Budgey” died Friday, May 24, 2013 at the Rose Monahan Hospice House in Worcester, Mass.

She was born July 27, 1928 in Memphis, TN, a daughter of Archer Denton Wills and Dorothy Susan Ruffin. She moved to Waltham, Mass as a young girl and graduated from Waltham High School in 1946. She was a member of Kappa Phi sorority.

She married the late John F. Morgan on April 15, 1951. They were married for 58 years. They were residents of Sudbury, MA for over 50 years where she was a member of St. Elizabeth’s Episcopal Church and the Sudbury Garden Club. She most recently resided at The Willows Independent Living in Westborough. She loved traveling, especially to Scotland, birds, gardening and her family. She also worked at Filenes in Natick for several years. In later years she attended the First Baptist Church of Natick.

She is survived by three children and their families: A daughter, Nancy M. Hitt, her husband Kenn, and their children Rachael of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Gretchen of Toronto and Jeremiah P. Morgan of North Smithfield, RI; son W. Douglas Morgan, his wife Jean of Kennebunk, ME and their children, David of Northampton, MA, Elizabeth of NY, NY and Madison of Kennebunk, ME; daughter Diane Huntley of Portland, ME, and her children, Robin of Northampton, MA and Devon of Washington, DC. She is also survived by her sister, Susan W. Hopkins of Shrewsbury, MA, sisters in law Phyllis Carlson and Mary Morgan of Gardner, MA and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service is scheduled for Sunday, October 13th, 2013 at 1:00 PM in the John Everett & Sons at Natick Common. A reminder notice will be in the Metrowest one-week prior. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Florida Keys Wild Bird Rehabilitation Center, 93997 Overseas Highway, Tavernier, FL 33070 or Heifer Project International, 1 World Ave., Little Rock, Arkansas 72202.
